Omiya Nakasendo Festival | Aug. 1 and 2, 2023
Omiya Nakasendo Festival is a traditional summer festival held in Omiya. The festival features Mikoshi (miniature shrines) floats parades. Taiko drumming and traditional dances will also be performed on the streets around JR Omiya Station (East exit) in the evening.

Sunflowers in bloom at Kasai Rinkai Park
The seaside is currently adorned with over 30,000 blooming sunflowers that provide a beautiful backdrop to the Ferris wheel. The evening illumination will continue until August 14th.

Numata Matsuri Festival | Aug. 3 - 5, 2023
One of the headlights is Tengu Mikoshi, carrying large objects of Tengu, a long-nosed goblin, that only women are allowed to carry, somehow.

Hachioji Float Parade Festival | Aug. 4 - 6, 2023
One of the largest float parade festivals held in greater Tokyo. 4000 people in traditional summer costume will dance and parade with 19 floats on Koshu-kaido Street.

Asagaya Tanabata Festival | Aug. 4 - 8, 2023
A Tanabata Festival held at the Asagaya shopping street. The 700m-long street will be decorated with giant paper crafts, looking funny, cheap, artistic, surreal and chaotic that visitors will find 'Kawaii.'

Water Splashing Festival (Fukagawa Hachiman Matsuri) | Aug. 11 - 15, 2023
The highlight of this festival will be on the 13th(Sun), the parade of people carrying more than 120 Mikoshi (portable shrines), and splashing water over the Mikoshi and the streets.
