Getting there from Shinjuku Station on the Seibu Railway
Take a train on the Seibu Shinjuku-sen Kyuko Line 西武新宿線急行 and get off at Honkawagoe Station 本川越駅 (1 hour 6 min. ride)
A 15-min walk from Honkawagoe station to Kitain temple.
