Ninja Festival in Ueno Park Nov. 21 - 23, 2026
Join us for an event featuring Ninja, aimed at promoting Iga, a historic Ninja town in Gifu Prefecture. The event will include Ninja performances, an Iga craft market, as well as food and sake stalls.
Who is Iga Ninja?Iga City in Mie Prefecture is known for the Iga Ninja, the ninja group founded by Hattori Hanzo. The leader of the Iga Ninja worked for the Tokugawa Shogun in Edo, which is now Tokyo. The name "Hanzo-mon," used for a place (castle gate) and subway line in central Tokyo, is derived from his name "Hanzo."
