Maple Leaf Festival in Komoro
Oct. 25 - Nov. 24, 2025

Komoro Castle Park (Kaikoen), the former castle site of Komoro city, is one of the best places to enjoy autumn leaves in Nagano prefecture. The former Komoro castle site has been selected as one of the best 100 castles in Japan.

Komoro is a charming castle town right next to the Karuizawa resort. If you are in Karuizawa during the season, consider visiting Komoro.

Komoro is known for good soba noodles. As Autumn is the season of freshly harvested buckwheat, it will be nice to enjoy the soba as well as the colorful-leaf viewing.
