Sawara Water Parade

Traditional Japanese musicians and people in colorful clothing float on small wooden boats along the Onogawa stream in Sawara's historic district. Sawara is relatively close to Narita City, the home of Narita International Airport.
There are 30 different varieties of Japanese plum flowers in the garden that can be enjoyed from early February to early March.
The historic garden in Tokyo will hold events to enjoy traditional Japanese culture and the plum blossoms together when they are in full bloom.
Mt. Tsukuba (Tsukubasan), a historic hiking spot within the Tokyo area, has a large plum forest 250m high on its slope, which holds 1000 plum trees. On a sunny, clear day, Skytree in Tokyo and even Mt.Fuji may be seen from up there.
The Naritasan Temple is known for its beautiful Japanese garden with seasonally blooming trees and flowers. The garden has about 500 ume trees that are over 70 years old, and the flowers give off a sweet scent in late winter.
