Water Splashing Festival (Fukagawa Hachiman Matsuri) | Aug. 11 - 15, 2023

The highlight of this festival will be on the 13th(Sun), the parade of people carrying more than 120 Mikoshi (portable shrines), and splashing water over the Mikoshi and the streets.

 

The Fukagawa Hachiman Matsuri is a traditional festival that has been celebrated since the Edo period. It is one of the three largest festivals of its kind and attracts around 300,000 visitors.

Getting there
From Otemachi Subway Station 大手町駅 (Near Tokyo station), take a train on the Tozaisen Subway Line 東西線, then get off at Monzen-nakacho Station. 門前仲町駅 (Travel time 12min.)
