Japanese Iris Festival - Katsuhika Shoubu Matsuri

Katsushika City in Tokyo has a traditional iris garden, "Horikiri Iris Garden," with a history of hundred years, has been depicted in Ukiyoe woodblock prints by renowned artists such as Utagawa Hiroshige and Suzuki Harunobu.

This flower festival is held at Horikiri Shobuen (堀切菖蒲園) and Mizumoto-koen Park; both are public gardens, and admission is free.
The Horikiri Garden has 6000 iris flowers and the garden in Mizumoto Park has 14000 iris flowers
