Traditional "Fuji" Festival at Jujo-fuji Shrine | Jun. 30 and Jul.1, 2026
A local festival takes place at Jujo-fuji Jinja Shrine in Kita City, Tokyo. 200 food stalls will line the path to the shrine, where many people come to enjoy local dishes and a lively atmosphere.
Jujo-Fuji Jinja was established during the Edo period for folks who couldn’t make it to Mt. Fuji to worship. The shrine has a mini version of Mt. Fuji, or Fujizuka, and locals come here instead of heading to the real mountain. It’s really loved by the community and they like to call it O Fuji-san.
