Silent movies are called Musei Eiga in Japanese, and the play features Japanese narration and music. It may be hard to follow the stories if you don't speak Japanese, but it's a chance to enjoy rare films "on live".

In Adachi City, Japan's only silent film company, Matsudasha, is based. Japan's only silent film company, Matsudasha. The company has a collection of classic films comprising about 1,000 titles, including some unfinished works, and 6,000 reels.
