Ninja Festa at Ueno Park Nov. 22 - 24, 2024

The city of Iga is hosting an outdoor event featuring ninja-related experiences, traditional crafts, and local food.

Iga City in Mie prefecture is known for Iga Ninja, the ninja group founded by Hattori Hanzo. The leader of the Iga Ninja worked for the Tokugawa Shogun in Edo, which is now Tokyo. The name "Hanzo-mon," used for a place (castle gate) and subway line in central Tokyo, is derived from his name "Hanzo."
